MCX holidays 2026: the Multi Commodity Exchange has 17 trading holidays in 2026. On many of them only the morning session is closed and the evening session (from 5 pm) is open; the session column below shows which.

Notes
Most MCX holidays close only the morning session; the evening session usually stays open. 1 Jan 2026 (New Year Day) is the reverse: morning open, evening closed. Full-day closures: 26 Jan, 3 Apr, 2 Oct, 25 Dec. Holidays falling on weekends (no weekday closure): Mahashivratri 2026-02-15 (Sun), Id-Ul-Fitr (Ramadan Eid) 2026-03-21 (Sat), Independence Day 2026-08-15 (Sat), Diwali Laxmi Pujan 2026-11-08 (Sun). Muhurat trading on Sunday, 2026-11-08 (Diwali Laxmi Pujan); timings to be notified by a separate circular (not yet announced as of 2026-10-09).

Often yes. On many exchange holidays MCX closes only the morning session and trades in the evening session. The note under each date says which.
